About Us

Launched in 2022, the Series welcomes new and emerging artists in classical, jazz and folk styles to the pleasantly simple and intimate setting of the Effra Road Chapel in Brixton. Curated by brothers Jason Taing and Ricky Taing, we have featured students and graduates from many of the UK’s leading musical institutions, most recently, The Larisa Trio, folk singer-songwriter Bryony Lloyd, and singers from Oxford Lieder and Genesis Sixteen for our Handel’s Messiah Part 1.

“My husband and I always enjoy your Sunday concerts… the timing is perfect”

We are also home to the Brixton Wind Ensemble led by our Artistic Director Jason Taing. The ensemble meets for project-based performances of lesser-known works from the wind repertory, and have made appearances playing for the CIAC Conducting Academy. We would love to see you join us for what promises to be a selection of superb solo and chamber concerts from some of London’s finest artists.

We hold a concert welcoming all towards the end of each month from September to June, after which we then hold our annual season break. Tickets are inclusive of light refreshments and are only £12 (£6 students/concessions)*. Do enjoy our post-concert refreshments, admire our beautiful Unitarian chapel, and get to know your fellow concert-goers joining us from across the world. All are welcome.

* Tickets purchased online are subject to a small booking fee.
